Synopsis

Due to undisclosed reasons, the group disbanded. Amidst all the media speculations of in-group fighting and scandals, everything was somehow blamed on Ae Jung. Ten years later, Ae Jung is still living with the stigma of her tarnished image, unlike her fellow group member Kang Se Ri (Yoo In Na), who is smugly enjoying her A-list status.
In comes Dokko Jin (Cha Seung Won). Apparently, he is the best action star in all of Korea. He is famous, well-loved and quite the debonair (or at least that’s what he thinks). He is currently Se Ri’s boyfriend/lover publicly despite their break up months ago. He had a serious heart problem and needs to constantly monitor and keep his heart rate between 60-90bpm. However, his heart rate shoots up to the 120’s whenever Ae Jung is around or when he is reminded of her. He gets entangled in Ae Jung’s quest to achieve respectability in the show business.
Ae Jung’s big break finally comes as a contestant in a match-making show “Couple Making” which is hosted by Se Ri. She meets Dr. Yoon Pil Joo (Yoon Kye Sang) who must choose between her and four lovelier, younger, more famous women. To everyone’s surprise, the doctor is taken in by Ae Jung’s sweetness, sincerity and earnestness. He seeks her out and goes out of his way to protect her from the public’s scorn.
Their connection worries Se Ri as she intended to humiliate Ae Jung from the start, expecting her to be booted off at the first episode. When this didn’t happen, she tries to appeal to the oblivious Pil Joo, to no avail. To make matters worse for Se Ri, her supposed lover, Jin, has been spotted dating a mystery woman. Se Ri has no idea that the woman that Jin has been wooing despite the threat of breaching a huge commercial film contract is non-other than Ae Jung.
Who will be Ae Jung’s ticket to fame? Will it be Pil Joo – the wealthy doctor, searching for love? Or will it be Dokko Jin who is trying to win her, knowing that she might drag his career down with her? Or will Se Ri succeed in finally ruining Ae Jung’s public image irrevocably?[/quote]

  11. Here’s a summary you might want to consider using: The story revolves around a wholesome but misunderstood entertainer, an ex- band member named Ae Jung. Some ten years after her very successful girl group disbanded, and only she and ex-bandmate Se Ri are still in show biz. While she was brought down by negative publicity following their break-up, Se Ri has become successful and is involved with popular superstar Jin. However, fate somehow brought Ae Jung and Jin together and the girl in distress unknowingly makes him fall for him. Egocentric Jin has never fallen in love and is clueless as to why Ae Jung affects him so. His heart mysteriously picks up its pace when she’s near and every time he hears the band’s old hit song, Thump Thump. In a desperate effort to get some air time, Ae Jung enters a variety show which makes her get to know perfect bachelor and doctor of oriental medicine Yoon Pil Joo. The handsome doctor finds funny Ae Jung captivating, but who will eventually capture Ae Jung’s heart? And why is Se Ri so hateful of Ae Jung?
