This drama is set in Sungkyunkwan University, ca 1791, during the reign of King JungJo, Josun Dynasty. It revolves around the exploits and love stories of four youths: Kim Yoon Hee, Lee Sun Joon, Moon Jae Shin, and Goo Yong Ha. With her younger brother being ill, it is left up to Yoon Hee to earn money for his medicine as well as other living expenses. Yoon Hee, who has excellent writing skills so unusual for a girl at this time in history, earns money by writing cheat sheets for the Sungkyunkwan University students, disguised as her brother, Yoon Shik. Soon, Yoon Hee becomes in desperate need of money: she will take an exam for someone else to earn that money. At the exam site, Yoon Hee mistakes Lee Sun Joon for the one who she will have to write for. He is the only son of the Prime Minister to the King and known to be dignified and upright. Sun Joon is thoroughly impressed by her writing skills, and not knowing that she is a girl, tricks her into taking the Entrance Exam. Yoon Hee’s writing shows so much promise that the King personally orders her to live in the University dormitory to expedite her learning. Rather than living the life doomed for domesticity, Yoon Hee decides to enter the school. At the school, she must room with Sun Joon and Moon Jae Shin, whose nickname is “Wild Horse.” Then, there is Goo Yong Ha who can sniff out females from a mile away… What is to become of Yoon Hee? Will she be found out?? ~snowy
